Chen Liangbi was a Yuan-dynasty figure whose courtesy name was Gongfu. His native place is variously identified as Xuancheng and Wanling.

Career

He was first recruited as a clerk (掾史). He later served as magistrate of Jingde. His offices included county clerk of Shangyuan, county magistrate of Xinning, and professor of Confucian learning at a route headquarters (諸路總管府儒學教授), with appointments at Dangtu and Jiaxing Route; he was also an academy head.

Associations

Wang Huchen, Wang Zemin, Zhang Shiyu, and Zhang Shilu each composed a farewell piece for him, concerning his departure for Xinning, journey to the capital, appointment as head of the Caishi academy, and assumption of office at Xinning, respectively; Wang Jianlei also composed a congratulatory piece on his move of residence. Gong Shitai and Ling Xihui, in turn, composed mourning pieces for him, respectively referring to him as a county magistrate (縣尹) and a county governor (縣宰).
