Ji Xian (1614–1683) was a woman of the Ming period. Her style name was Jingyang, and her studio name or sobriquet appears in two romanizations, Yuanyinüzi and Yuanyinvzi.
Life
Her father was Ji Yuyong, and her younger brothers were Ji Shizu, Ji Kaisheng (1627–1659), and Ji Zhenyi (1630–1674). She was married to Li Chang'ang and had a son, Li Lu; Li Qing was her husband’s collateral nephew.
Writings and prefaces
Titles associated with Ji Xian include Qianyin ji, Xuechan hunyu, Baiyin pian, Jincun ji, Guixiu ji (Ji Xian), and Yuquan kan ji. The preface relationships include one in which Ji Xian wrote a preface for a work by Zhang Wanying (1800–1881), and others in which prefaces for her works were written by Li Chang'ang, Ji Shizu, Ji Kaisheng, Ji Zhenyi, Li Lu, Li Qing, Yu Yang, and Lu Minshu; the specific dates are unspecified.
