Zeng Yi (1853–1927) was a woman writer and medical author. Her courtesy name was Boyuan, and she was also known as Langqiu; her native place was Huayang.
Life
Her father was Zeng Yong, who held the title Taipuqing. She had a brother, Zeng Xuchu, and a sister, Zeng Yanji; her husband was Yuan Xuechang, and her son was Yuan Lizhun. Yuan Xuechang was from Wanping, was a juren in the Guangxu ji-mao year (1879), and was a tifa shi in Hunan.
Works
Her literary writing included *Guhuan shi shici ji*. Other titles associated with her include *Guhuan shi shi ji* (four juan), *Guhuan shi ji* (one juan), *Guhuan shi ci ji*, *Huanyue cicao*, and *Zhongkui lu* (one juan). Her writings in medicine and women's education included *Nüxue pian*, *Yixue pian* (four juan), *Hanwen zhinan* (four juan), *Zazheng biji* (one juan), *Waike zuanyao* (one juan), *Fuke liangfang* (one juan), *Youke zhimi* (one juan), and *Zhenbing jueyao* (one juan).
Prefaces and associations
She wrote a preface for a work by Zeng Yanji. Prefaces to her works were written by Miao Quansun, Zhang Baixi, Zeng Yanji, Zeng Xuchu, Qu Huixiang, Yan Qianrun, Yi Shunding, Zhang Zhongyin, Wu Qingdi, and Tuohuoluo Duanfang.
