Shao Shi (1113–1183) was a woman of the Song dynasty from Jinhua and the wife of Shi Ruyi.
Life
Her father was Shao Zhicai, and her husband was Shi Ruyi, who lived from 1110 to 1174.
She held the designation Ruren and belonged to the category of outer imperial women; her status also included a conferral of honors. Her ten grandsons were Shi Jing, Shi Qi, Shi Yuan, Shi Yan, Shi Qin, Shi Su, Shi Tan, and Shi Zao, as well as two individuals both named Shi Mou. She had two granddaughters, Shi Zhuang and Shi Mou. Her sons-in-law were Liu Yan, husband of her eldest daughter, and Chen Bao, husband of her second daughter.
Associations and writings
Zhu Xi composed a Buddhist-temple inscription and a tomb epitaph for her. The works are titled Ci jiao an ji and Tai Ruren Shao Shi mubiao, both included in Zhu Wengong wenji.
