Yang Yunhui (1832–1913) was a woman poet of the Qing period; her dynastic classification is also given as the Republic of China. Her style name was Jingzhen, and she was from Jinkui.
Life
Accounts of her family background differ: one identifies the tongzhi Yingcan as her father, while another identifies Yang Yingcan as her grandfather; she married Dong Jingzhen, the prefect of Min County. Her son-in-law was Weng Yisun, and her eldest son was Dong Zhongrong.
Works and literary associations
Her works include 《吟香室詩詞》; the title also appears as 《吟香室詩草》, in two juan with an appended juan, and as 《吟香室詩草續刻》, in one juan.
Her writings are associated with prefaces, postscripts, congratulatory texts, and title inscriptions: she wrote prefaces for books by Pan Yantong, Xie Zhangting, Xu Zhenhui, Liao Tingxiang, Wang Jin, Zhang Baixi, and Guo Zengxin; she wrote postscripts for books by Feng Guangyu and Lei Feipeng, while Ding Yun wrote a postscript for one of her works. Tao Mo wrote a congratulatory text for her; she wrote congratulatory texts for Weng Yisun, Yang Mo, Peng Zongnian, and Dong Zhongrong. She also wrote title inscriptions for books by Zhong Yisanduo, Lin Kaimo, Han Guojun, Ning Benyu, Duan Youlan, Gao Xiangying, Tan Zuren, Dai Qiwen, Liu Songying, and Song Yanyang; she did the same for books by Liu Nianyi, Gui Dian, Ding Huixin, Fei Yukai, Lin Yunfang, Cheng Benpu, Cheng Daoyuan, Lin Xinrong, and Shi Shijie.
