Pan Suxin (1764–1840) was a Qing-dynasty woman poet. Her courtesy name was Xubai, and her sobriquet appears in two romanizations, Ruoyenüshi and Ruoyenvshi; she was from Kuaiji.
Life
She was the daughter of Pan Rujiong, a prefect, and married Wang Runzhi, a shaozhanshi. Her children included a daughter, Wang Xun, and three sons, Wang Chengqing, Wang Tongyi, and Wang Huai; her sister was Pan Zhengxin.
Writings and literary relations
Her works include *Buzhi yin*. Other titles associated with her are *Buzhi yin xu ke* (one juan), *Xuyan yicao* (one juan), *Xubai zhai shiji*, and *Guochao guige shichao: One Hundred Collections in One Hundred Volumes*.
She wrote prefaces for works by Yun Zhu, Liang Desheng, and Chen Yunlian; prefaces to her works were written by Yuan Mei, Ye Shaoben, Pan Rujiong, Zhou Dabong, Zhu Xiangzhi, Shen Jun, and Wang Chun. Wang Tongyi, Xu Yingzao, and He Ruoqiong wrote postscripts for her works; she wrote a postscript for a work by Wang Huai.
