Li Tongren (14th–15th centuries) was a jinshi degree-holder of the Ming dynasty. His courtesy name was Gongpu and his sobriquet Jingzhai; he came from Jintan Township in Jishui County, Ji'an Prefecture, Jiangxi.
Life
In the tenth year of the Xuande reign (1435), he passed the provincial examination; in the first year of the Zhengtong reign (1436), he earned the jinshi degree through consecutive success. The year of his jinshi qualification is also given as 1406, and his rank was twelfth in the second class.
The following year (1437), he was appointed a Secretary of Military Selection in the Nanjing Ministry of War. Later, he was promoted to Vice Director and Director in the Ministry of Works, served as an associate commissioner in the Fujian Salt Transport Administration, and retired from office before his death.
Works
His work, *Dongshan Qiaoyin ji*, has survived.
