Wang Yipeng (1610–1670) was a Qing-dynasty official. He was a native of Renhe County in Zhejiang, now part of Hangzhou; Qiantang is also given as an alternative native place, and he travelled to Haining Prefecture. His courtesy names are variously given as Yuanzhi and Shenmin, while Heshan is classified both as a courtesy name and as a studio name or sobriquet; Qingyitang is likewise treated as a studio name or sobriquet. Other forms of his name include Wang Shi, Wang Geng, Wang Pin, and Shinong.

Life and career

He was a shengyuan before attaining the jinshi degree. In 1655, he passed the YIWEI examination as the first-ranked jinshi in the second class, a result designated chuanlu. He was selected as a Hanlin Academy shujishi; before the san guan, he was specially transferred to li ke jishizhong. His offices also included hu ke jishizhong and bing ke jishizhong; in 1657 he served as an examiner for the Jiangxi provincial examination. His Taipu si rank at the height of his career is given variously as qing and shaoqing.

Writings

Titles associated with him include 《清貽堂存稿》 (four juan), 《清貽堂集》, and 《王黃門奏議》; the precise relationship between the three works and Wang Yipeng is unspecified.
