Cui Shi (996–1066) was a woman of the Song dynasty and the wife of Zhao Zongdao. She was a native of Yanling.
Life and family
Her father was Cui Li (969–1043), and her mother was Ran Shi, a daughter of Ran Zongmin. She had two sisters, one the wife of Zhang Rushi and the other the wife of Han Qi; her nephew was Zhang Jifu.
She married Zhao Zongdao (999–1071), and they had four sons and three daughters. Their sons were Zhao Sui, Zhao Ding, Zhao Xian, and Zhao Ji; their daughters were the wives of Zhang Zhong-song, Lü Changhui, and Zhang Deyuan.
Titles and death
She held the title of County Lady, associated once with Anping and otherwise with an unspecified locality; her honors also included fengzeng (封贈). She died at Baoping Jun Jiedu in 1066 and was buried at Yique; the burial is dated to 1069.
Zhang Jifu composed her epitaph; Zhang Yao wrote the calligraphy and the epitaph cover.
